Fractory: Estonian Startup Honoured in UK Manufacturing Awards

Fractory co-founder and CEO, Martin Vares, has been recognised in the UK where he was shortlisted for UK Young Manufacturer of the Year at the MX Awards 2022. He was also named in The Manufacturer Top 100 Change Makers, recognised in four categories: digital transformer, innovator, inspiring leader and young pioneer. The awards are run by the prestigious industry title, The Manufacturer.

Fractory opened for business in the UK in 2019, two years after it launched in Estonia. It has offices in Manchester, England; Turku, Finland; and in Tallinn and Tartu.   

Fractory Appoints New UK Sales Manager
The cloud manufacturing company has appointed a UK Regional Sales Manager to cover the growing UK market. Ashley Hickling has more than a decade of sales and account management expertise with big British businesses Stanley Black and Decker as well as Klaxon Signals. 

“Fractory is growing in the UK,” he says, “and now is the time to better understand our customers and ensure they get the best value from the services we offer.”

Ashley will work with a team of 20 sales engineers in the UK, based out of Fractory’s HQ in the Bonded Warehouse, Enterprise City, in Manchester. 

Part of Ashley’s remit is to ensure that existing UK customers understand the different ways they can use Fractory: for prototyping, for series manufacturing and for large-scale project managed jobs.
