Tallinn to host an international expo on supply security, internal security and defence in a month
On May 14-16, Bekker Port in Tallinn will host Supply, Security & Defence Expo 2025, the first international expo bringing together key stakeholders in the Baltic Sea countries in the areas of supply security, internal security and defence.
The expo is supported by the Estonian Minister of Defence, the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and the Estonian Ministry of the Interior as well as by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tallinn, currently holding the Presidency of the EU.
The goal is to bring together key decision-makers and companies from the Baltic Sea countries to jointly discuss challenges, share experiences, network and collaborate in strengthening the defence and resilience of the Baltic Sea region.
Madis Laas, CEO of Exponaut, the event organizer, said that the need for cooperation between the Baltic Sea countries in the areas of supply security, internal security and defence has never been as acute as today. “We have done everything in our power to make Supply, Security & Defence Expo a real platform for decision-makers and companies in the Baltic Sea countries to share experiences and collaborate in strengthening the common defence and resilience of the region.”
More than 70 companies from Estonia and abroad will be exhibiting their solutions at the expo, including DefSecIntel Solutions, Rantelon, droon.ee, Port of Tallinn, Samsung, Scania, Nortal , ATEA, DSI Solutions (Israel), INKAS (Canada) and ISOTEX (Italy).
Participants include several defence industry associations from the Baltic Sea countries such as the Polish Defence Industry Association, the Nordic Defence & Security Cluster NORDSEC, and the Lithuanian Defence Industry Association.
Jaanus Tamm, CEO of Estonia's leading defence industry company DefSecIntel Solutions: “As we consider it important to increase the defence and internal security capabilities of the Baltic Sea region in response to increased threats, and taking into account the experience of Ukraine, we are participating in Supply, Security & Defence Expo 2025. This is a good opportunity to introduce our smart autonomous surveillance and drone countermeasure systems and unmanned ships for critical infrastructure security. We appreciate the opportunity to discuss with various end users how Estonian defence industry solutions would ensure defence capabilities, critical infrastructure and border security.”
The expo will include a three-day international conference "Uniting Baltic Sea Coastal States for Enhanced Defence and Resilience" with land, air, and sea as its main topics.
Estonian Minister of Defence, Hanno Pevkur: "I am honored to be the opening speaker at this year's Supply, Security & Defence Expo. This is the first time that decision-makers and entrepreneurs in the area of supply security, internal security and defence will gather in Tallinn for an international fair to discuss, share experiences, network and collaborate."
The conference will also feature presentations from the Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry, the Estonian Minister of the Interior, the representative of the German defence industry company Rheinmetall, the Vice President of Nammo AS, the representative of Samsung's cybersecurity unit from the United Kingdom, among others.
The expo will take place in the area of Bekker Port with restricted access. Admission is by invitation only and pre-registration is required.
