
The 4th Eastern Partnership Business Forum
The 4th Eastern Partnership Business Forum, entitled Digital Economy: Innovative Platform for Transparent Borderless Business, will take place on 26-27 October 2017 at the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel in Tallinn, Estonia. The patron of the Forum is Kersti Kaljulaid, President of the Republic of Estonia. Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and other high-level speakers have confirmed their participation.
As a traditional side event to the EU Eastern Partnership Summit, the Business Forum is organised under the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU by the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership and Enterprise Estonia. The forum is dedicated to the development of public-private dialogue and business relations between entrepreneurs from EU and Eastern Partnership countries. The main objective of the Business Forum is to promote cross-border economic relations, transparency, and new business opportunities, with particular focus on SMEs.
This year’s focus is on Digital Economy and Innovations, specifically:
- redefining the governance process;
- transforming everyday life and business in all sectors;
- creating the basis for a transparent and borderless economy;
- facilitating economic growth, integration, and international trade.
Plenary discussions:
- e-Governance and digital economy – reinventing business and economic environment;
- Cross-border trade, logistics and e-commerce – facilitating international business;
- Financing for international business and innovations;
- Innovative technologies and e-solutions – facilitating business across sectors through innovation, automation, and smart solutions.
The Forum is divided into three days:
- October 26: Conference and B2B meetings;
- October 27: Seminars, B2B meetings, and visits;
- October 28 (optional): Best practices in regions.
