Business Networking event: Empowering the Belarusian Diaspora in Exile
We are pleased to invite you to Online Matchmaking Event organised as part of the Belarusian Diaspora Initiative (BDI), a project funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by a consortium that includes Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The BDI project is focused on supporting businesses with Belarusian shareholders in the EU, particularly those who were forced to leave Belarus due to government persecution, opposition to political decisions, violations of human rights, and the regime’s support for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. One of the core objectives of the BDI project is to connect Belarusian shareholders with potential business partners from the EU.

28 May 2025 at 10.30-13.30 at Conversation Starter platform (participants will be able to complete their profiles and schedule meetings 2 weeks prior to the event date).

- Business support organisations interested in the topics covered by the project and are unaffiliated with the Belarusian and Russian governments.

As part of the registration process, we have implemented a verification procedure to ensure that all participants align with the democratic values upheld by the BDI project. The verification process will help confirm that applicants holding Belarusian identification are committed to the values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. This step is essential to maintaining the integrity of the project and ensuring that it supports those who share our mission of fostering a democratic and free business environment.
Registration process:
Step 1: Register for the event
To participate, please REGISTER HERE by 30 April 2025.
Step 2: Complete the verification process
Within a few days of your registration, you will receive a link to the verification platform. There, you will be asked to upload a copy of your ID and a selfie to verify your identity and match the photo on your ID.
Note: This verification process is only required for applicants with Belarusian shareholders.
Step 3: Finalise your profile on the Conversation Starter platform
Once your verification is complete, you will be able to log into the Conversation Starter platform. Complete your business profile and start scheduling meetings with potential partners.
The Belarusian Diaspora Initiative project was launched in January 2025, the project will run until the end of 2027, offering participants a wide range of activities including capacity building, partnership creation, and advocacy support.
