Trade mission to Colombia during Smart City Expo Bogota

We invite Estonian companies from ICT, smart healt and smart cities, green economy to a trade mission to Colombia during the Smart City Expo Bogota, with a focus on public procurements. This trade mission is part of EU funded project GOOSE and is organized jointly by  four European project partners.

During the mission you will have a chance to meet public entities, local partners, and companies. We will also organize matchmaking sessions with Colombian companies. You can take part in  joint booth in Smart City Expo Bogota.

TRADE MISSION TO COLOMBIA WILL CONSIST OF:

  • EARLY MAY: Group webinar on Do’s and Don’ts to Doing business in Colombia
  • 29th May-2nd June: onsite program in Bogota
  • MID JUNE: Group webinar on follow-up activities and next steps

ONSITE PROGRAM

  MONDAY, 29th MAY – TUESDAY, 30th MAY
9.00-17.00 Group meetings in Bogotá with IADB, World Bank, FINDETER, ANI (Agencia Nacional de Infraestructuras), Municipality, Ministries, Public agencies, and Tutorial on Bidding in Colombia, etc.
Companies will be able to give an elevator pitch after officers’ presentations
  WEDNESDAY, 31st MAY – FRIDAY, 2nd JUNE
9.00-17.00 Attendance to Smart City Expo Bogotá & B2B
  Selected companies might participate in panel discussions proposed by SCEB

Final selection of participants will be done by the GOOSE consortium, according to companies’ internationalization potential. GOOSE consortia consist of four European project partners: Agència per a la Competitivitat de l’Empresa (ACCIÓ), Spain; Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI), Estonia; Flanders Invest & Trade (FIT), Belgium; Croatian Employers Association (HUP), Croatia.

Target group: Companies from all target sectors of GOOSE project are invited to apply (green economy, ICT, smart city, and smart health). Companies from all 4 project partner countries can take part of the mission (Estonia, Croatia, Spain and Belgium).

ORGANIZATIONAL DETAILS:

  • Suggested hotel: NH Bogotá Urban 93 Royal
  • Suggested arrival to Bogotá on Sunday, 28th May
  • Departure: according to own preference
  • Participants will pay for their accommodation and travel expenses.

  • Business program: group meetings and elevator pitch to public officers
  • Individual B2Bs, rooms for meetings
  • Joint booth in Smart City Expo
  • Possibility to participate in panel discussions during the Expo

GOOSE is an EU-funded project aiming at improving the access of SMEs access to public procurements in non-EU countries with which the European Union has signed a bilateral or multilateral agreement covering public procurement.
