The competition for the Young Entrepreneur Award begins!
Starting today, the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and LHV invite young Estonian entrepreneurs who are up to 35 years of age, to apply for the Young Entrepreneur Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize and draw attention to the achievements of young entrepreneurs and to encourage young people to engage in entrepreneurship even more. You can apply for the award until September 5, and the winner will be announced on October 14.
In addition to the honour and fame that comes with the title, LHV awards 5,000 euros to the Young Entrepreneur of the year. According to LHV corporate banking manager Indrek Nuume, it is important to highlight ambitious young entrepreneurs and set an example for others. "Today's experienced entrepreneurs also started once only with good ideas. Later, more people, capital and at some point, also customers are gathered around these ideas. We are happy there is youthful energy in Estonia and we want to continue to support its further growth with our contribution," said Nuume.
According to Mait Palts, General Director of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Young Entrepreneur competition provides an opportunity to highlight outstanding and innovative young Estonian entrepreneurs. "Noticing and recognizing young entrepreneurs motivates and inspires both current and future entrepreneurs who help develop Estonia's economic environment. This shows them that the work they do and the values they create are highly valued," said the general director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and encouraged everyone who knows a young and active entrepreneur to submit them to the competition.
Last year, Martin Vares, who is the CEO and co-founder of Fractory OÜ, was chosen as the Young Entrepreneur of the year. "Winning the Young Entrepreneur Award has a surprisingly strong effect almost a year later. Especially outside Estonia. The fact that the award is supported and presented by the President of the Republic of Estonia makes it look very big from the outside. The biggest goal of a young (ambitious) entrepreneur is to grow and develop his company. This requires that as many people as possible hear about the company. The Young Entrepreneur Award has been followed by a lot of media attention. I highly recommend applying to everyone for whom it is important that their company is visible," encouraged Vares.
The Young Entrepreneur Award competition is intended for owners and managers of companies registered in Estonia who are up to 35 years of age, who have been successful in ensuring the good performance of their company, in the innovative use of their products, services or technologies, and who already export or have export potential.
To apply, you must fill out the application form and upload a digitally signed letter of motivation no later than September 5, 2022 – the exact guide can be found on the website of the Chamber of Commerce at www.koda.ee/et/meist/noorettevotja. Entrepreneurs themselves, their employees, clients or professional organizations and others can submit their candidacy. The winner is selected from among the candidates submitted to the competition by a five-member committee, which consists of representatives of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LHV and the Office of the President, as well as entrepreneurs. The award is financed by AS LHV Pank.
The Young Entrepreneur Award competition is being held for the eighth time.
