Englo's Success: Three New Security Devices Ready for the Market
The company Englo, which designs and manufactures high-quality electromechanical devices, has completed three new devices in 2023. These devices are very important considering the current state of security. Remote detonation will be very much needed if the object to be detonated is far away and it is not safe for you to be near it yourself. In this case, the remote blasting machine ARES will help, it allows you to detonate from a distance. Receivers in the set can check the blasting line resistance and explode electric detonators by remote commands from the control unit. It is also possible to use the help of amplifier from the device set or drones when blasting, and then with ARES it is possible to carry out blasting from a distance about 4 km or even more. As just reported, there is a lot of interest in this device at the Cairo show.
The second new devices MLA-2 can be used to detonate mines in a targeted manner, i.e. only when the desired vehicle, tank, etc. crosses the sensor embedded in the ground. The sensor initiates the detonator of the explosive device. Movement is then safe for people and animals.
The third new device, the remote ohmmeter ROM is determined for safe and convenient measurement of blasting line resistance from a distance. ROM enables to monitor the blasting line resistance continuously from a distance and give an alarm if the resistance changes significantly.
We will certainly continue our R&D and develop new devices corresponding to the needs of our customers.
ARES Remote Blasting Machine
Remote blasting machine ARES is designed to remotely explode electric detonators and check blasting line resistance.
Ares consists of one control/transmitter unit and up to four firing/receiver units.
The control unit is used to send commands to the receiver units and monitor the status of each receiver unit.
The receivers are connected to the blasting lines and detonators. Receivers can check the blasting line resistance and explode electric detonators by remote commands from the control unit.

MLA-2 Miniature vehicle detection sensor for mine initiation
Miniature vehicle detection sensor MLA-2 is designed to detect moving vehicles and output a signal to other systems.
MLA-2 is installed into the road or to the side of the road into the ground. When a vehicle passes the sensor, it will output a voltage.
MLA-2 uses both magnetic and seismic sensors to avoid false detection of humans or animals.
The sensor has an ON/OFF switch and a status indication LED.

ROM Remote Ohmmeter
ROM is a remote ohmmeter for safe and convenient measurement of the blasting line resistance.
ROM consists of two blocks:
- Ohmmeter with radio transmitter
- Receiver and alarm unit
The ohmmeter with transmitter is connected to the blasting line. Ohmmeter measures the line resistance, shows the value on backlit LCD display and transmits resistance value wirelessly to the receiver. Ohmmeter unit can be used separately as digital line tester without the receiver.
Receiver shows the line resistance on its LCD display in real time. If the resistance of the blasting line changes by more than +/- 3 ohms, both a visual and an audio alarm will activate and work can be stopped immediately to check the line.
For safety reasons, the measuring current is limited to 1mA.
