Liviko – the preferred partner, active across 60 markets
Liviko’s most successful brands include Estonia’s hallmark product Vana Tallinn and Crafter’s gins. Liviko’s beverages are represented in the trend-conscious duty free and travel retail sector, and on more than 60 markets across Europe, America, Asia and Oceania. The success of Crafter’s has given Liviko a novel role – in addition to beverages, the company now exports green thinking to inspire people to use resources more wisely. Liviko also represents world-famous brands such as Rémy Cointreau, Bacardi, Martini and others, in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Among exported products, the biggest spotlight is on the legendary Vana Tallinn liqueur, sold in 40 countries, and the gins Crafter’s London Dry and Crafter’s Aromatic Flower, which have reached almost 60 markets around the world.
As a fast-growing international group specialising in premium alcohol, Liviko is open to cooperation opportunities across the world. Hong Kong has recently joined the export markets of the award-winning Crafter’s gin, but you can also find their recognisable designer bottles in Spain, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. The spicy Vana Tallinn liqueurs and cream liqueurs are highly valued in Europe and also represented in India, America and United Kingdom and elsewhere.
The legendary Vana Tallinn – Estonia’s hallmark product since 1960
The Vana Tallinn liqueur, which has a unique taste and is made using only natural ingredients, has been one of Estonia’s best-known brands since 1960. Thanks to its successful recipe, the liqueur quickly became a hallmark product for Estonia and it has kept this status even decades later.
The tower-shaped bottle of the legendary liqueur was inspired by the Old Town of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, representing the towers of the UNESCO World Heritage listed medieval city wall. The Vana Tallinn liqueur gets its distinctive velvety and exotic taste from Jamaican rum, orange and lemon, and a mix of spices from across the world.
The success of Crafter’s gins paves the way for exporting green thinking
The success of Crafter’s gins has given Liviko a novel role – in addition to beverages, green thinking is now being exported to inspire people to use resources more wisely. Liviko uses juniper berries, the primary component of gin, three times as the raw material for new products. Carefully selected juniper berries are first used to make the internationally award-winning Crafter’s gins. The beverage masters then use the remaining extract of the distillation to make another drink, either the Re-crafted Crafter’s Junibeer, a non-alcoholic effervescent craft beverage, or juniper beer (3.2 vol). Finally, the processed juniper berries are used to make Crafter’s Juniper cheese.
Thanks to the export success of the classic Crafter’s London Dry and the colour-changing Crafter’s Aromatic Flower gin, Liviko decided to upgrade its production facilities and install new modern and sustainable distillation pots. The distillation residue from the new pots was so stable in quality and sweet in taste that it inspired Liviko to find uses for it. Previously, it would have been considered production residue to be discarded, but now these residues are used to make award-winning drinks. Liviko has found a way to reuse up to 80% of the plant-based ingredients of Crafter’s gins.
Liviko’s broad profile provided it a unique advantage in generating production innovation through green thinking, as the company has expertise in distillation as well as in producing carbonated beverages. With the Crafter’s zero-waste product line, Liviko wants to inspire people to take a fresh look at the world’s resources and to see potential in unexpected places.
