HANZA Mechanics Tartu is a manufacturing company, which is part of the fast-growing HANZA Group. We offer complete and tailor-made manufacturing solutions for various sectors, including medical, food and recycling industry. We are specialized in sheet metal, machining, cabling and final assembly, a full service for your supply chain. HANZA’s business concept is All you need is one, which means we have the technologies inside the company to manufacture locally in a more sustainable way.
In 2021 we started building a new production plant directly adjacent to our sheet metal factory to support the company’s growth. In the first quarter of 2022 the factory was up and running with full production for complex assembly and cabling. The proximity of the factories helps us reduce transportation cost and carbon footprint. The new factory supports better complex assembly, and we see already now 15% rise in efficiency. Manufacturing is an energy resourceful, which is why we put solar panels on the roof to use renewable energy (in June we received about 50% the plant’s energy from the solar panels). In addition, we have 6 automated warehouses, which reduces the time and resources of lifting pallets up and down. We are already planning for a new expansion.
One of our main products to produce are reverse vending machines. We started cooperation with RVM in 2016. On behalf of RVM Systems, HANZA carried out an in-depth analysis of the entire production chain. It showed that there were great efficiency gains to be made by placing all manufacturing and assembly in one place. RVM Systems then chose to locate the entire production at HANZA. The assembled and tested products are supplied worldwide to final destinations, including stores where they are installed right away. We also carry out the NPI (New Product Introduction) process together with the customer’s engineering team.
We are able to manufacture based on customer needs a custom-made product. Most of the details for the end product come from our machining and sheet metal factory, which is then assembled, tested and sent to the end customer. For RVM we are making stand alone, modular & high capacity and mega/bulk vending machines.
